Initial session:
A Diagnostic Assessment is conducted at the initial appointment. Upon completion of the assessment, an Individualized Treatment Plan will be created with your therapist. If necessary, Treatment Plans may be completed/updated during future sessions.
- Diagnostic Assessment is an information gathering tool to help your therapist learn more about you and your current needs, while determining the best course of treatment to meet your individual goal(s).
- Individualized Treatment Plan is a personalized plan, specific to your current concerns, identified and developed with you, in effort in to assist you in accomplishing your stated goal(s).
Follow-up sessions:
Psychotherapy sessions can involve (but are not limited to): Skill building, problem solving, learning and developing stress management techniques, coping skill development, enhancing communication strategies, life coaching and trauma processing and recovery.
All sessions:
All assessments and/or session information is kept confidential. There are a few exceptions to this rule:
- In the event you are threatening harm to yourself or someone else, your therapist is obligated by the state to take steps necessary to keep you and others safe, which may include disclosing pertinent information to only those needing to know.
- If you wish to share your information with a family member, friend, or another professional, a release of information form is required to be completed.
